Karin Larsson Rydén

Master goldsmith and jewellery designer

Interested in jewellery since early childhood the choice of career was still not always obvious to Karin. Actually her initial ambition was to become a surgeon. It was not until she took a course in silver smith in 2003 that she finally found her calling. Soon thereafter she enrolled in the goldsmith program at Copenhagen Technical College where she after four years of study and apprenticeship training received her journeyman’s letter in 2008. Since then Karin has worked as a goldsmith under her own label to eventually receive her Master craftsman’s diploma in 2020. 

When crafting Karin prefers to work directly with the original material. It is an organic process where parts are added and parts are removed to eventually arrive at the final result. Over the years she has learnt to master all types of precious metals from silver to platinum. Recently she also started specializing in stone cutting and stone setting to be able to truly own the whole creation flow from idea to a timeless piece of jewellery.
